Mamburam is a popular Muslim pilgrimage in Malappuram and one of the top mosques in Kerala. It houses shrines dedicated to the ancestors of primary Thangals. This was a significant title that was given to the Arabs from Yemen who migrated to Kerala. Thangals held prominent importance amongst locals and hence the shrine was later established here to immortalize them for the coming generations.
