Pallipuram Fort is a fort in Pallipuram built by Portuguese in 1503. It is the oldest existing European monument in India and one of the top places to visit in Cochin. The highlighting feature of the fort is its architecture which attracts visitors from all across the world. The fort is hexagonal and is made out of wood, laterite, and mortar. Currently, this fort is a protected monument of the Kerala State Department of Archaeology.
