While traveling to the Athirappalli Waterfalls through the Chalakkudy River glade, the Thumboormuzhi Dam and Garden is hidden. A treasure of the Thrissur district, this place isn't so well known. Thumboormuzhi has it all - a dam, a butterfly garden, a hanging bridge, and a kids park. It's thought that most butterflies in the world live here. Thumboormuzhi is a great place to get away from the busy and monotonous schedule of yours and rest in the midst of greenery.
The park has around 148 species of butterflies that look even more beautiful if you go early in the morning. The biggest butterflies visit during the monsoon season, which is a real treat for the eyes. Lemon butterflies, common roses, southern birdwings, dark blue tigers, and light blue tigers are some of the butterflies that you'll see in the park. The park also offers a river view, a view of the virgin forest, a beautiful garden, and a children's park, so they can feed these butterflies. Pagoda flower, flame lily, Mexican heather, Heliotropium, etc. Tourists can use the bathing ghat, washrooms, parking spaces, washrooms, and the DTPC restaurant to relax.
