Brahmagiri is a mountain range in the Western Ghats of south India. It is situated on the border between Kodagu district in Karnataka state to the north and Wayanad district to the south. At 1608 meters high, Brahmagiri Hill is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Kerala.
There is a lot of scenic beauty during the post-monsoon period, and during the monsoon period there is an adventure in reaching the summit. Both sides require permission for the trek, and an entry fee may also be required.
It is highly recommended to trek in Brahmagiri during the monsoon for the most comfortable climate and during the summer for the most breathtaking views. This is because the fog there is incomparable to any other hill area nearby. There will be a 6-10 kilometer hike one way. There may be leeches in the forest during the monsoon season.
It is recommended to carry water and snacks with you. Please do not throw any plastic bottles or containers away.
